Set up live sync with Capsule CRM

Capsule CRM live sync replaces the manual closed-lost export step with a continuous background pull from your Capsule account, so lost opportunities show up in Thawly automatically.

What live sync does

  • Thawly watches your Capsule CRM for new and updated closed-lost opportunities across every board you give it access to.
  • Lost opportunities you mark in Capsule appear in Thawly automatically — no re-export, no CSV step.
  • Re-engagement signals fire when one of your monitored companies' UK public-data triggers lines up with a closed-lost opportunity in your Capsule account.

What data Thawly reads

Read access on the API surface, write only when you opt in to activity write-back. The Capsule OAuth consent screen will show the following scopes:

  • read — pull opportunities (with milestones, value, expected close date, lost reason), parties (organisations), and any custom fields on the opportunity record.
  • write — used only if you opt in to the activity write-back feature (default off). When on, Thawly adds a single timestamped note to the Capsule opportunity each time it surfaces a re-engagement signal.

Thawly only reads the organisation name + website on each party — never contact people, never emails, never phone numbers.

What Thawly never does

  • Never writes back to your Capsule account unless you explicitly opt in to the optional activity write-back feature (default off).
  • Never deletes records.
  • Never reads people-party records, internal notes, files, or any private contact data beyond the scopes listed above.
  • Never modifies milestones, owners, values, or expected close dates.

Set up

Click below to connect. You'll be redirected to Capsule's sign-in page, then asked to grant Thawly the permissions listed above. After approval, you're back in Thawly with sync active.

Or follow these manual steps if you prefer:

  1. In Thawly, open Settings → Integrations.
  2. On the Capsule card, click Connect with OAuth.
  3. Sign in to the Capsule account that owns your sales pipeline (admin seat recommended).
  4. Review the permissions screen. Tick Authorise.
  5. You'll be returned to Thawly with a green "Connected" pill on the Capsule card. The first sync runs immediately and typically takes under a minute for the volumes Capsule customers tend to hold.

After setup

  • Sync runs every 15 minutes in the background.
  • See sync status, last-sync time, and total opportunities imported on the integrations page.
  • Disconnect any time from Settings → Integrations — revokes the OAuth token and stops all future syncs. Already-imported opportunities stay in Thawly.
  • If the token is revoked from Capsule's side, the card flips to a red "Reconnect" state. Sync resumes the moment you reconnect.
